About Us
Naomi D. Handelman, RN, BSN, MS, CMC is a Certified Care Manager (CMC), with accreditation from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM) and is a member of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA). A registered nurse, Ms. Handelman holds a Bachelor's Degree from S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center in Brooklyn and a Master's Degree from Adelphi University in gerontological nursing. She has appeared on CBS-TV's Summer Semester as a lecturer on elder issues, and as an expert panelist on WOR-TV's Straight Talk. She has taught “Foundations of Aging” in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Adelphi University and has developed and implemented numerous staff development programs in hospitals, nursing homes and adult residences in the New York Metropolitan Area. Ms. Handelman is a member of the New York State Nurses Association, The National Honor Society of Nursing, and is the author of “Beware: The Gaps in Medical Care for Older People”, which has been used as a hands-on study guide for caretakers of the elderly and their families.
Ms. Handelman has been in private practice as a Geriatric Care Manager for over 20 years, assisting and advising elderly clients and their families.
